This artwork formed the basis of an online workshop produced for Clare Hall, Cambridge in March 2021. It was a very fast learning curve for me: I had never done film-making, nor tried live online tutoring. But after much “fiddle-faddle” I managed to produce some short films and we ran through everything on the day in just under 3 hours (the time specification being two and a half hours, but no one seemed to mind!).

When I decided to complete the painting in March 2022, I added the group of leaves and roots at the base to give a whole overview of the plant and a more balanced composition.
