Artist Code 1908. Wild Roses. Completed 27th June 2019. Original acrylic on 100% stretched cotton box canvas, size 9″ x 12″.
Painted especially for my Cambridge Open Studio (COS) exhibition at The Black Horse, Dry Drayton from 6th–28th July 2019. I can heartily recommend the food, so any time you are near Dry Drayton and fancy a spot of lunch or dinner, do visit THE BLACK HORSE

I am still trying to come to terms with Acrylic paint—I do not like the feel of it much, but know I should persevere because it is such a “giving” medium, much easier to correct than oil or water colour!
I love wild roses; each late spring I really look forward to seeing them pop out all along the hedgerows, such a gorgeous pink!
