Milky yellow, floral suede
No sheen upon the petals made
A bright red tip to stigma bold
And stamens green and subtle gold
With little spots towards the core
And bulging greeny buds galore
The whorling leaves of satin sheen
Hiding flower head once been
The dewdrops add a pretty sight
Lily fair for our delight.
