1409 ‘Cheeka’ The Staffy COMMISSION

Artist Code 1409. Completed October 2014.Original SOLD. Watercolour on Aquarelle Arches 100% Hot Pressed cotton rag paper. Unframed size 12” x 16”. 

Commissioned as a Christmas present for a husband. I visited Cheeka personally and took lots of photographs. It was nice to see her bouncing about and to view her character which helped me with design and composition. The commissioner was very pleased with the painting.

Cheeka the Staffy just loves her ball
She chases around in grasses tall
She pesters squirrels who invade her patch
She runs and runs, not one does she catch
As they run up trees and tease and stare
She barks and barks, but they just glare!
