Snap and Name the Bird Educational Card Game (discontinued)
Created and Designed by Tina Bone. An educational game for two or more players to assist recognition reflex, and to learn to identify some British Birds. The game is suitable for children of all ages, but particularly useful to aid learning in the age range 5 to 10 years. The game was trialled by children between these ages with excellent results.
There are common birds and not-so-common birds. As a guide, a Robin silhouette (as most children can identify it) is used to compare bird sizes. Each card box is handcrafted. The pack contains 58 cards: One Introduction Card; One ‘How to Play’ Card; four ‘Naming Cards’, to help with learning the names and identities of the birds before playing the game; and 52 ‘Bird Cards’, consisting of thirteen different species of bird, with four cards showing each species. Each card measures 63mm x 89mm with rounded corners, silky to the touch, printed on 300gsm solar block card, housed in a white cardboard box.
